PLACE

PLACE

The concept of place is central to the mission of Urban Eats. We don’t just open cafes, we seek to establish roots in communities. Neighborhoods; streets; buildings; places. We aim to be catalysts for community development, and ignition for fresh ideas. We employ our neighbors, support local charities, provide safe space to gather, feed hungry patrons, and help organize community events. We do this because we understand that while technology has allowed for incredible and unprecedented global interconnectivity, we still work, live, and spend our time in physical places. Whether you’re looking for a casual spot for a bite to eat, a quiet meeting space, or a place to soak up the vibrant local culture, Urban Eats is the place!

Urban Eats Cafe South City

The original Urban Eats Cafe at the corner of Meramec and Virginia is where our vision first took root. We opened in 2008, and have expanded the space multiple times to better serve our customers and our community. Come in for a hot bite, a cold drink, and a warm atmosphere where you can always feel comfortable and welcome.

THE LIERMANN BUILDING

Originally built as a three-story building by Yiddish-speaking immigrants around the turn of the century, the Liermann Building was razed in the 1920s and rebuilt as the current two-story mixed use structure, and has endured as a vibrant cornerstone of a now diverse community.
